In today's world, where digitization is advancing in all business sectors, the efficient management and use of data is becoming increasingly important. E-commerce companies and other data-intensive industries face the challenge of organizing and optimizing data feeds and making them appealing to the end customer. This is where AI APIs like ChatGPT come into play, offering promising opportunities for automation. The benefit? All of these automations can be easily implemented with our no-code solution, Synesty Studio, which significantly lowers the barriers to entry.
Together with our customers we have collected ideas in a webinar, at the Synesty Community Day and in this forum post for what our add-on is already used. The following topics came out of it.
Technical products such as screws or tools often have data sheets that are full of sober, technical details. While this information is important, it is often not very appealing to the end customer. AI APIs can transform these technical properties such as size, diameter, length, and width into engaging, easy-to-understand prose text. In this way, even "boring" products can be presented more attractively, potentially leading to higher sales figures. Even before ChatGPT this was already experimented with, as this practical presentation of our customer shows.
With Synesty you usually work with tabular data. Just imagine CSV or Excel files for this purpose. I.e. you can create automations that process each row and talk per row to the AI API. You can specify the question - the so-called prompt - which is then enriched with the data per line.
*Example: "Create a product text with 300 for the following product properties: product name=ladies shoe, color=red, size=40 etc."
The product properties can then come from table columns. But the data source does not have to be a file, it can be any data source you can use with Synesty Add-Ons.
Some marketplaces and platforms have character restrictions that require product descriptions to be shortened. AI technology can reduce the original text to retain the essential information while removing superfluous details. This allows for concise presentation without losing core information, which is especially important when space is limited.
A picture is worth a thousand words. This is especially true in online retail, where visual impressions are crucial. For categories like "kitchens," AI systems could automatically generate relevant images. Instead of just showing a single product like an oven or cooktop, they could be presented in a fully equipped, stylish kitchen. This can significantly improve the visual experience for the end customer and lead to higher conversion rates.
When it comes to advertising slogans, taglines, or short ad copy, AI can not only speed up the process of generation, but also improve the quality and relevance of the content. By analyzing industry trends, customer data, and other relevant factors, AI can create tailored, impactful ad copy that fits the target audience.
In some cases, product descriptions contain long texts that include a lot of important information. However, sifting through these texts can be tedious for customers. AI can help analyze these texts and extract the most important features in a simple list. This makes it easier for customers to make quick decisions and improves the user experience of the platform.
In the matching video we show exemplarily how the add-on can be used for working with product texts, e.g. to recognize individual features / attributes from a product description in order to fill a product database or PIM with them, for example. A simple Excel spreadsheet or a Google spreadsheet can serve as the data source.
Extensive product descriptions or technical documents can be transformed into shorter, easy-to-understand summaries or even FAQs with AI. This greatly improves the user experience, as customers no longer have to scroll through long texts, but can quickly find the information they need.
Emails and support tickets often arrive in large volumes and can be a significant time drain to process manually. AI can automatically categorize and keyword these messages, significantly speeding up the support team's workflow and allowing them to process requests more efficiently.
Customer satisfaction ratings are key for any business. AI can automatically search and classify customer reviews or support tickets for positive or negative statements. This analysis makes it possible to quickly respond to customer concerns while gaining a better understanding of overall customer satisfaction.
In addition, partial automation of customer support is also conceivable. For support tickets, AI could generate automatic response templates that match the customer's sentiment at the time. If the suggestion is appropriate, support agents can use these templates to respond faster and more efficiently, increasing both customer satisfaction and support team efficiency. There are also ways to let the AI APIs access proprietary data or knowledge bases. This means that answers can then better match the customer query from a technical point of view and, if necessary, already answer the question completely. Especially in the case of frequent questions, which can often be answered by FAQs, this could relieve the support staff.
Limiting social media posts to a certain number of characters is often a challenge. However, AI can help transform long texts into short but meaningful posts. The technology ensures that the key points and context of the original text are preserved while adhering to the character limit.
Current (VOIP) phone systems provide answering machine messages as .mp3 files via email. With voice-to-text technologies, AI can convert spoken content into written form and provide it directly to customer support, for example. This enables easier archiving, searchability, and analysis of content, and makes it easier to respond to customer inquiries.
This is a use case for Synesty Studio itself. In Synesty you can use freemarker scripting, for example to use IF-THEN logic or to transform texts. However, creating freemarker scripts requires a bit of programming knowledge. With AI, however, this process can be simplified. Through natural language instructions, AI can generate freemarker scripts, which greatly reduces the amount of programming required and makes the process more accessible. This is possible because Freemarker is open-source and thus already part of the training data of the language models (LLM - Large Language Models) of e.g. ChatGPT.
With the use of AI APIs like those from ChatGPT, there are numerous opportunities to automate and optimize data feed management. And thanks to our easy-to-use no-code solution, getting started with this technology is easier than ever. Whether it's preparing product information, improving customer communications or optimizing advertising campaigns, the applications are numerous and the benefits enormous.
