Data migration using a practical example

Merchandise management systems (ERP) in online retailing must grow flexibly in order to adapt to the requirements of e-commerce. This sometimes includes structural changes to the item architecture by the ERP provider. These changes can present online retailers with complex product catalogs with the challenges of transferring the data from the old structure to the new structure.

Using the example of plentymarkets, the presentation will show how the migration of free text fields and article characteristics to variant properties was carried out with the help of Synesty Studio.
