Tobias Wittkopf from Brandnoo presented an interesting technical gimmick with Amazon's IoT Dash Buttons - a talk that breaks out of e-commerce for a change and also introduces other uses of Synesty Studio in a creative way.
When the button was pressed, an SMS was to be sent to the smartphone to find out the current weather conditions or the exact departure time of the bus on the corner. He used the URL-trigger function of Synesty Studio, so he could start the flow manually from outside. Via the API-Call Step the data of the weather and the bus departure times are fetched and finally the SMS is sent. Sounds quite simple at first, but behind it there is a clever interaction of Synesty, Amazon Webservices (AWS) and different APIs like Twilio.
