The year 2024 was an exciting year full of developments and new opportunities at Synesty! We introduced numerous features, add-ons, and improvements that have enhanced your daily workflow. Now it’s time to look back and get ready to start 2025 successfully together.

Our Highlights from 2024: What Has Changed

Optimized Usability

• Mass editing in Mapper columns: Names and descriptions can now be edited directly using the TAB key – without needing to use the mouse.
• Preview in the Code Editor: Changes can be checked directly without having to switch between the code editor and Mapper.
• Security prompts: A prompt protects against unintentional changes when resetting a step.
• History of step changes: View at a glance which steps were recently modified.

New Features in Mapper and Datastore

• Navigation for “Insert value”: A convenient left-side navigation ensures better overview and quicker usage.
• Helper variable ${row.changedContentCols}: Perfect for Datastore updates – shows changed column contents.
• Example values for validation: More flexibility when entering data in the schema.
• Beta feature “Validate data”: A better overview of data quality and schema compliance.

Other Improvements

• Global storage of invisible characters (spaces, line breaks).
• Temporary size changes make working in text editors easier.
• Improved error detection in date fields.
• Flows can now be easily shared via links.
• Datastore schemas can be created from JSON & XML files.
• The new scripts “toJSON” and “zipMap” simplify the creation of robust JSON structures.
• Our enhanced search now also includes documentation, allowing you to find answers faster.
• With the Filter Step extensions, existing filters can now be easily modified and supplemented with additional conditions directly in the modal.

• Seamless integration for automatic notifications in Teams channels – perfect for new orders or critical inventory levels.

New Tidely Add-On

• Invoice data from systems like e-commerce, ERP, or accounting programs is transferred directly to the Tidely API – keeping your cash flow up-to-date.

Enhancement in Billbee Add-On

• Create shipping orders (including tracking numbers).
• Automate and update order statuses.

Enhancement in WeClapp Add-On

• Create/update articles.

Enhancement in PlentyOne (Plentymarkets) Add-On

We’ve modernized our manual so you can quickly access all the information you need:

• Direct links from step pages to relevant manual pages.
• Inputs and outputs of the steps can now be found in the full-text search.
• Preview with wildcards to discover variables and functions even faster.
• Our AI-powered help tool “Dr. Synesty” is now supplemented with manual content to assist you with your questions.
